Oncor is the regulated electric transmission and distribution utility for Wichita Falls and much of North Texas. It builds and maintains the poles, lines and meters that deliver power, while retail electric providers sell the electricity itself. The local service center handles outages, new service connections and line work for Wichita Falls and the towns around it.
Gordon Drake manages Oncor’s customer operations for the Wichita Falls area, which takes in Burkburnett, Iowa Park, Electra, Henrietta, Archer City, Graham and Breckenridge. Builders submit new construction requests through Oncor’s New Construction Management Center, and a project manager issues ESI IDs for temporary poles and permanent meters.
