First Bank is a locally owned community bank that traces its start to 1907, when Wichita Falls businessmen Joseph A. Kemp and Frank Kell opened the First National Bank of Burkburnett. It now has three offices in Wichita Falls plus branches in Burkburnett and Iowa Park, and its assets have grown past $600 million.
The bank took the First Bank name in 2000 and has since added locations in Aledo, Frisco, Brock and Plano. Its home loan group writes conventional, FHA, VA, USDA, jumbo, construction and bridge loans through local lenders.
