Atmos Energy is the natural gas utility serving homes and businesses in Wichita Falls and many surrounding North Texas communities. It is one of the largest natural-gas-only distributors in the country, and its local office is the point of contact for builders, plumbers and developers who need gas service lines and meter sets on new homes.
Builders request service through the Atmos Builder Portal or the Builder Services team. Service lines are installed after framing is complete, and Atmos publishes meter location and clearance guidelines for builders and plumbers. Developers can ask about gas availability and pipeline extensions for new subdivisions.
What they do
- Natural gas for homes and businesses
- New construction service lines and meter sets
- Builder Portal and Builder Services team
- Developer gas availability requests
- Pipeline safety and leak surveys
Gas service lines cannot be installed until framing is complete, so builders should schedule at the framing stage.
