As one of the largest natural-gas-only distributors in the United States, we provide natural gas service to 3.2 million residential, commercial and industrial customers in more than 1,600 communities in 12 states. Atmos Energy also owns non-regulated natural gas operations that provides natural gas supplies to industrial customers and municipal customers, in addition to managing natural gas storage and pipeline assets.
Throughout our more than 100 year history, Atmos Energy has grown through mergers and acquisition of natural gas utilities; which inclues the 2006 purchase of the distribution and pipeline operations of TXU Gas Company.
