A big THANK YOU to all who once again made the Annual Parade of Homes a success!!
As of Thursday, June 22nd, the 71st Annual Parade of Homes and Wrap up Dinner/Casino Night are now history! 7 homes by 7 builders were featured in the Parade of Homes sponsored by Builders Lumber Company and Foundation Automotive. Taking advantage of the fantastic weather throughout the majority of the Parade, over 700 people attended the tour.
Houses ranged from $329,500 up to $799,000 featuring the latest items such as wall mounted faucet pot fillers over the stove, a standalone tub that filled up by water coming from the ceiling, to an island with a copper sink and waterfall faucet. Double islands, entry doors with glass panels, unique light fixtures and copper vent a hoods were new trends in the parade this year.
Proceeds from the ticket sales were presented to the following charities chosen by the builders: Big Brothers & Big Sisters, Child Appointed Special Advocates (CASA), Cross Trail Outfitters – CTO, Habitat for Humanity, Meals on Wheels of Wichita Falls, The Center (Pregnancy Help Center) and Wichita Falls Area Food Bank.
Following the parade, the NTHBA hosted it’s Wrap up Dinner/Casino Night at the Park Place Event Center thanks to these generous sponsors: Builders Lumber Company, Hamilton Bryan Furniture & Appliance, Kelly Moore Paint Company, Stewart Title Company, Absolute Pools & Spas, Corlett Probst & Boyd, First Bank, First National Bank, Lance Friday Homes, American National Bank & Trust Mortgage, Brazos Window & Door LLC/Marvin Windows, Capital One, Dutch Watson Cabinets, Guarantee Title Company, Landmark Title Company, Legend Bank, On Site Solutions, OK Concrete, Postel Family Credit Union and Rapco Cabinets & Doors! Over 100 members and guest attended the Wrap up Dinner/Casino Night celebrating the success of the parade by enjoying a fantastic meal followed by door prize drawings.
After the door prize drawing, Nicki Bomer of Jacksboro National Bank and Chairman of the NTHBA Events Committee assisted in drawing for Parade of Homes ticket winner for the Blackstone Grill prize compliments of NTHBA Member Lowe’s. Congratulations Danny Valdez!
Afterwards, members enjoyed a fun night playing casino games then winning prizes. It was a fantastic event and we are now looking ahead for next years Parade!
