2022 Parade of Homes in the Archives

The 70th Annual Parade of Homes is in the books.  10 Homes were presented in the 2022 Parade of Homes built by 8 builders.  Parade Home Builders included Arrowhead Builders LLC, Garnel Construction, Harmon & Holcomb Homes, Keeter Custom Homes, Klasse Homes Inc., Lance Friday Homes and R.J. Wachsman Homes who entered 3 of the homes.  Homes were located in various areas of Wichita Falls as well as Holliday and Lakeside City.

After a persistent battle to have them completed, builders were able to breathe a little easier when the Parade began Friday evening July 8th at 6 P.M.

In spite of the grueling triple digit temperatures over 800 people attended the Parade of Homes. Many enjoyed looking at new design features in order to plan their dream home while others were out getting ideas for decorating or remodeling their existing home. Some design features included Quartz, Granite and Marble counter tops. Textured travertine, Mosaic and Arabesque back splashes, accent walls and floor tiles.  Gold, black or no bathroom and kitchen hardware.  Painted and stained custom cabinets throughout along with many other trends

The homes ranged in price from $350,000.00 to $900,000.00

This year, each builder chose a charity organization that was dear to their heart to benefit from the proceeds of the ticket sales. The charities chosen were ARC of Wichita Falls, Base Camp Lindsey, Cross Trail Outfitters, Holliday Volunteer Fire Department, Hospice of Wichita Falls Pedi/Peri, Meals on Wheels and Young Life.  Proceeds will be presented to these charities during the North Texas Home Builders Annual General Membership Meeting on Tuesday, September 13th.

A big thank you to all the builders for their entries and all the hard work it takes to get these homes ready for this event and Builders Lumber and Foundation Automotive for Sponsoring the 2022 70th Annual Parade of Homes!

During this year’s parade, the NTHBA hosted a member tour on Friday, July 15th from 1-5 P.M. Over 20 members gathered at the NTHBA office and formed a caravan of vehicles heading to the first house of R.J. Wachsman’s at 5326 Waterford Drive.  Second the caravan visited the Harmon Holcomb Home at 6600 Parker Ranch Road and proceeded to Holliday to Hughes & Son’s house at 5818 Covey Road.  Then the caravan began it’s trip back to Wichita Falls to tour R.J. Wachsman’s Homes at 4915 Heisman Drive and 5682 Black Stone Drive. From there the route was to Bridgecreek to view Klasse Homes entry at 4808 Saddleback Lane, then off to Lakeside City to see #24 Edwards Way constructed by Keeter Custom Homes, 121 Jo Ann constructed by Arrowhead Builders LLC and 129 Jo Ann constructed by Lance Friday Homes.  Last but not least #8 Johnny Court, the NTHBA Showcase Home built by Garnel Construction was toured.

Before leaving each of the homes, there was a drawing for a $25.00 gift certificate for various businesses.  Everyone had a great time and are looking forward to making the Member Tour an annual event.
